A while ago I purchased a Watusi cow from Shapeways.
Shapeways is a 3D model printing company.
The cow was designed by a member of the STS forum - the animals are designed using a special computer program.
I'm not keen on the material they are printed in, which is a hollow, furry textured plastic (I'd prefer a smooth surfaced solid model). I love the sculpture though, it is very realistic.
I've painted it with acrylics, they took well to the material but the textured plastic spoils the effect, resulting in the white markings not coming out quite how I wanted them to.
